James J. Baker

Public Accountant
Jim Baker is a founding shareholder of Baker & Colson, P.C. His areas of
practice focus on business taxation and high-income individual taxation
and planning. He has vast experience in business acquisitions,
reorganizations and sales of business entities.
An Oregon native, Jim has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1971.
Prior to opening a CPA firm in Gresham, he practiced with a national CPA
firm in Portland.
Jim obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Linfield College in
1964. After graduation, he worked in the insurance and utility
industries before becoming a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member
of the Oregon Society of CPA’s and serves on the Board of Directors of
several Oregon organizations.
Away from work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, his
beach home and two-year old chocolate labradoodle, Charlie.
