Randolph L. Colson
Certified
Public Accountant
Randy joined Jim Baker in the ‘70s to form what has become Baker &
Colson, P.C. He has extensive accounting experience in many areas
including manufacturing, retail, banking, logging, waste disposal and
legal services, and specializes in construction-related accounting.
He was born and raised in Oregon and Southwest Washington. As a boy, he
traveled up and down the West Coast as his father worked as a logger,
finally settling in Camas, Washington. Here, he worked at the paper mill
and in construction to pay his way through school.
Randy graduated from Portland State University in 1971 and went to work
for a Big Four accounting firm. He then became controller for Willamette
Factors, Inc., the firm that designed and built the planned Community of
Charbonneau just south of Wilsonville. It was here that he became
familiar and proficient with all aspects of construction, from
engineering and architecture on up, as he had duties as the assistant
project superintendant.
He enjoys the great outdoors and traveling with his wife of many years,
Linda. He also truly enjoys his dogs, Ruby and Lilly, the dachshunds,
and Spooky and Molly, his labradors. However, there are times he wonders
if he will need shoulder surgery from throwing things for the labs.
