Carol has been serving tax clients in the Portland Area for almost 32 years. After graduating from the University of Oregon in 1988, she spent 2 years working in an accounting firm in Eugene before moving to Lexington, Kentucky. After 5 years in Lexington, Carol and her husband returned to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, settling in Milwaukie.
Carol's professional focus is in three primary areas of service: working with closely-held family businesses to help ensure their business goals and success; working with individuals to assist with tax compliance and tax minimization; and working with families who have lost a loved one, helping them navigate the intricacies of the complex laws for estate and trusts. To accomplish these goals, Carol has significant experience and training in taxation and tax planning services for corporations, estates, trusts, small businesses, and high net-worth individuals.
Carol joined the Baker & Colson team in August 2020. Carol enjoys meeting new people and has a goal of learning something new every day.
Outside of the office, Carol enjoys spending time with her husband and her three "grand-boys" (ages 8, 6, and 3). She is an avid reader and is an enthusiastic (but skill-less) gardener.
